Habibie is an Indonesian aircraft engineer and politician who was president of Indonesia (1998–1899) and a leader in the country’s technological and economic development in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

He was the fourth child of eight siblings. His father was an agriculturist from Gorontalo descent and his mother was a Javanese noblewoman from Yogyakarta. His parents met while studying in Bogor.
Firmness of holding on into principle had built Habibie since his childhood. He’s brilliant in science and mathematics since his childhood too. Habibie has a hobby of horseriding and reading.
Habibie's father died when he was 14 years old due to a heart attack while he was praying isya.
Shortly after his father died, his mother then sold his house and vehicle and moved to Bandung with Habibie, after his father's death, his mother worked hard to finance the lives of his children, especially Habibie.

Because of the willingness to learn Habibie then study at Gouvernments Middlebare School. In high school, he began to look prominent in his achievements, especially in exact subjects. Habibie became a favorite figure in his school.
Due to his intelligence, After graduating high school in bandung in 1954, he entered Bandung Institute of Technology, he did not finish there because he received a scholarship from the Minister of Education and Culture to continue his studies in Germany.

At that time the Indonesian government under Soekarno vigorously financed hundreds of Indonesian smart students to study abroad to study there. Habibie is the second group among hundreds of high school students who are specifically sent to various countries. Habibie then chose the Aviation Engineering department with an Aircraft Construction specialization at Rhein Westfalen Aachen Technische Hochschule (RWTH).
The education Habibie has overseas is not a crash course but a school for many years while he works. From the beginning Habibie was only interested in 'how to build commercial aircraft' for the Indonesian people. From there emerged strategic companies, there is PT PA2L and one of them is IPTN.

When he arrived in Germany, Habibie was determined to be seriously driven and had to succeed, remembering his mother's efforts to pay for college and his daily life. A few years later, in 1955 at Aachen, 99% of Indonesian students studying there were awarded full scholarships. Only he that has a green or private passport .
Holiday season is not a holiday for him just a golden opportunity to be filled with exams and make money to buy books. After the holiday, all activities are set aside except for learning. Unlike his other friends, they are; more use summer vacation time to work, looking for experience and money without taking exams.
weight but large volumes. Talbot requires 1000 wagons. Given such a problem, Habibie tried to apply the construction methods of making the airplane wings he applied to the wagon and finally succeeded.
Afterwards he continued his studies for a Doctorate at RWTH,  In 1965 Habibie earned a Dr. Ingenieur using summa cumlaude (Very perfect) with an average rating of 10 from Aachen University.

Habibie became vice president of Indonesia on 14 March 1998 to accompany Suharto. He served as vice president only a few months until 2 May 1998.
The tremendous political turmoil and reforms demanded by Indonesians peaked in May 1998. The resignation of President Soeharto on 21 May 1998 and then the announcement of the resignation made BJ Habibie then officially registered as President of the Republic of Indonesia. He was sworn in as President of Indonesia to replaced  Soeharto as the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Habibie became the President of Indonesia for more than one year from 21 May 1998 to 20 October 1999. At that time, BJ Habibie inherited a condition where Indonesia is very messy after the fall of Soeharto Where there are many regions that want to take off from Indonesia.
In his administration as President, Habibie made many important decisions. One of them is the spirit of the Regional Autonomy Law. He also let people to share about their aspirations that many new political parties have emerged.
Habibie also succeeded in pressing the rupiah against the dollar to under 10 thousand when the value was not reached 15 thousand per dollar, he also liquidated some troubled banks.
Until finally President Habibie was ousted in 1999, his Responsibility Address as president was rejected by the MPR. In addition, one of the causes of the fall of Habibie is the escape of the East Timor province which chose independence and presented a new state

At first, Habibie admitted that he was not interested in Ainun even though at that time many men had a crush on Ainun. "Even if I have a crush (then), not necessarily she wants," he said. Ainun is the daughter of BJ Habibie's parents' friend.
Habibie was close to Ainun's father since he was 12 years old. At that time, he admitted coming to Ainun's father because he has many questions. "His father Ainun really smart," he said. The men who approached Ainun almost all had cars or were minister children and state officials. While Habibie's father when he was 14 y.o had died. So, her mother had to work a catering business to finance Habibie's school. Well, let say he came from a poor family.

Habibie's proximity to Ainun's father was often used by Habibie's friends. Those who had a crush on Ainun and Ainun's sister wanted to come, but were afraid of Ainun's fierce father. They then took Habibie and approached Ainun and her sister when the father was deep in conversation with Habibie.

Habibie and Ainun seem to have one thing in common. While sitting in high school, both are stamped by the science teacher as the youngest student in the class but equally intelligent. Ainun was one generation younger than Habibie. Branded equally clever, the teacher was often said if Habibie and Ainun married, they must have children who are also smart.
Often mated, Habibie felt ashamed. Because, he was not interested in Ainun. "I have no reason because I do not interest," he said. Because often mated like that, he also liked to mock Ainun with fat and ugly title. "I said, 'Java, fat, ugly, you're black like Javanese sugar,'" Habibie said. Even so, Ainun never get angry summoned by these titles. "Ainun is not angry, that is what Habibie is embarrassed about," she said.

A few years ago, this forty-eight-year-old woman who accompanied Mr. Habibie died of illness. Deep grief struck Mr. Habibie. Just imagine, the woman who became his first love and accompany his career from Germany until he become president of the Republic of Indonesia, suddenly left him. Although Mr. Habibie is no longer crying for her, her love is always present and will never be replaced.

BJ Habibie was hospitalized in Germany because of a leak in the heart valve. The condition of the aircraft expert continued to improve.
In the photo uploaded by Instagram @habibiecenter account, Habibie smiled broadly. His face was not pale.
However, Habibie still had to undergo a number of checks at the hospital in Munich. He was also asked to rest a lot by the team of hospital doctors and the Presidency sent by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
